What is BookVolume?
BookVolume is an innovative tool designed to efficiently purchase books in volume online. Our buying engine works through a want list, checking each item with several online venues to locate inventory below standard wholesale pricing! The system returns books matching your want list and meeting your pre-defined search criteria. BookVolume also fills your shopping cart on each respective venue, and keeps a purchase log to track what you buy. BookVolume does the work in minutes that would otherwise take hours to do manually. Searching over 10,000 books an hour, BookVolume is the fastest way to buy and be done!
Why is BookVolume free? (how do we make money?)
We collect commissions from our partner sites like Amazon.com and Half.com for referring your business to these venues. Since the vendors pay us money when you buy an item, we are able to charge $0 for the BookVolume service. You will NOT be charged any additional fees or commissions for using BookVolume by us or the venues. Yes, you read that right, NO FINE PRINT, NO OBLIGATION, NO TRIAL PERIOD! Just a really great, and really FREE service!
What kind of support does BookVolume offer?

Buy Below Wholesale
Check online listings before going to your wholesalers. Simply set your ‘Max Price’ to fall below or match wholesale prices, so you’re never paying more than wholesale through BookVolume.
Avoid Returns
Purchase inventory through BookVolume that you know you can sell and source the rest from wholesalers and publishers. This way, you can still take advantage of all the savings online, without all the work and added risk.
Easy Receiving
Break up large lists into smaller lists to find your items faster, and easily manage the receiving process. This generates more cart IDs, which makes it easier to identify and receive items. It’s also a good idea to include the ‘Custom PO’ or ‘Cart ID’ on the Recipient Name of your shipping address for easy identification.
Reduce Order Cancellations
The longer your list is, the longer it takes to process. This means that the first book on your list might be bought before BookVolume is finished processing the last book. We recommend shortening your buying lists to no more than 100 titles per list.
Easy Reporting
Generate custom purchasing reports with the BookVolume ‘Purchase Log’ based on date range, cart PO or ID, ISBN, list name, etc. Once you generate the report, just download/export it as a CSV file to integrate your BookVolume records with the rest of your system.
Why do I have to register?
Inside BookVolume, you are able to personalize your free account by creating filters, uploading multiple want lists, and saved purchasing logs. Having you register for an account allows us to save your settings for the next time you log in so buying becomes easier, and faster.
Why isn’t Internet Explorer recommended with BookVolume?
BookVolume is compatible with Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari and Internet Explorer web browsers. You may use Internet Explorer with BookVolume, but we strongly recommend using Mozilla Firefox because some features run twice as fast on Firefox, and certain features are not available when using Internet Explorers
What if I logged into BookVolume with Internet Explorer?
That’s ok, since we are a web based system you can save your settings and the place where you left off. Log out of BookVolume and close Internet Explorer, open Firefox, and log back in. All your previous work should be saved, and you can now use all features on BookVolume.
How do I pay for the books?
The final step of the BookVolume process is checking out on the individual venues. At this point you input your own billing, shipping and credit card information. You can also pay via PO (Purchase Order). See Can I pay via Purchase Order? for more information.
Do I have to pay each seller?
When you checkout you will pay the venue(s) you found your books on. You will be billed separately by the seller(s) and should receive confirmation of your order by each seller.
Do I need to sell you books in order to buy?
BookVolume does not work on a ratio system like many of the wholesale companies. You can buy through our system as much as you like without having to sell back a single book.
How do I import my want lists?

You can also upload a list directly from you POS system. We currently support MBS Point of Sale Format,MBS TA-Online, Budgetext (Comtext) and NBC WinPRISM. If we don’t have your POS listed let us know and we’ll put it in.
Is there a limit to the number of books I can buy?
Not at all! You can use BookVolume.com as much as you like.
Can I pay via Purchase Order?

How many items can I checkout at once?
Because of programming barriers with our featured marketplaces, you are only able to check out a maximum of 20 listings at a time. When you click checkout inside BookVolume, you must proceed to check on the marketplaces as well before returning to BookVolume to check out your next page of 20 listings.
Where do the books come from?
We provide access to a giant group of booksellers that are all competing to offer the best price for each book. To obtain this network of booksellers, we merge multiple online marketplaces including Amazon.com, Half.com, Alibris, AbeBooks, Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.de, Amazon.fr, Amazon.ca, eCampus and Barnes & Noble. By combining these venues into a single screen, the purchasing process is extremely efficient while offering unparalleled cost savings.
How long will the books take to arrive?
Shipping rates and polices vary for each of our partner sites so it is very important to check site specific shipping policies.
Expedited Shipping:
In general, items shipped via Expedited Shipping (including: USPS Priority, Fed Ex Home Delivery, UPS Ground, Airborne Express Ground Delivery) should arrive in 2-6 business days from the ship date. To hide listings that are not available for expedited shipping, set the shipping filter in BookVolume to “expedited”. Also, don’t forget to select expedited shipping when you check out on the venue for fastest shipping!
Media Mail:
In general, items shipped via Media Mail should arrive in 4-14 business days from the ship date, excluding Alaska and Hawaii which may take longer. Note that the USPS does not guarantee a specified delivery time for Media Mail.
